HELT Design Architecture Interiors:  A vision-oriented design firm positioned for growth in multiple sectors is seeking an experienced project manager to join our team.  Those with interest in an exciting collaborative studio work environment, direct client contact, and strong project management / leadership skills can excel in this position.  In addition to managing projects for key clients you’ll be collaborating with senior management on client and project management long-term strategies.  You will be responsible for managing and producing construction documents, maintaining project deadlines, monitoring, and coordinating with consultants, quality control while nurturing a positive team-oriented environment.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Politely and routinely communicate with clients regarding project schedules and project needs.
  • Ensure expectations that have been provided to our clients are followed through and met.
  • Manage project specific project schedules and completion tasks.
  • Transfer design criteria from executed client proposals to working construction documents.
  • Research planning zoning design criteria and discern criteria impact on the design.
  • Research local code criteria for projects and develop life safety plans when projects dictate.
  • Coordinate schedules and design criteria with Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Structural Engineers.
  • Produce AutoCad (and or REVIT) Construction Documents which includes detailing materials (wall sections, enlarged details etc.).
  • Follow through with projects during permitting and construction – answering contractor questions.
  • Depending on the project there may be some need to visit job sites for field documentation and or during construction if we are providing construction administration services.

Experience Requirements:

  • 4 to 6 years of experience with strong interest in retail and or prototype project design and related project management.
  • Experience developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the coordination aspects and related requirements of design disciplines.
  • Proficiency in AutoCad and Revit is preferred, ability to open and navigate Sketchup is considered a plus.
  • Experience planning, managing, and completing different tasks on different projects based on defined schedules.
  • Ability to interact well in various business and social settings.
  • Proven experience working well with others under tight deadlines.
