Dynamo 31 Development
Beginning in 1885, the McAden Mill No. 2 was the undeniable center and foundation of the newly incorporated town of McAdenville, NC. The original city limits were based on a one-half mile radius struck from the mill's iconic bell tower. For nearly 100 years, cotton textiles were produced within the walls of this beautiful red brick mill building. HELT Design was honored to lead the revitalization of this historical structure and help restore it as the heartbeat of the town.
The adaptive reuse goals of this important structure were soon realized as lease activity for potential tenants ramped up quickly as the project neared completion. Occupation plans have been made for office, industrial, community , retail and restaurant businesses. All seek to be a part of the newly titled "Dynamo 31" building which takes its name from the 31st hydroelectric generator ever designed by Thomas Edison that used to power the mill. HELT Design is proud to be a part of the team that has brought this important building back to life and prominence.
