We’re excited to welcome Sara McDuffee to the HELT Design team as Senior Project Manager. A graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy, Sara was drawn to architecture through a lifelong love of art and making things—seeing it as the perfect convergence of creativity, problem-solving, and communication.
Sara brings experience across an impressive range of project types, from hospitality and healthcare to historic preservation, adaptive reuse, and industrial facilities. While she’s earned recognition on award-winning projects, she measures success differently: a positive experience for the client and team, a safe and well-functioning build, and a space the community genuinely loves. Her process blends careful listening, design thinking, and a bit of psychology to translate a client’s vision into something that strengthens their identity.
Sara joins HELT eager to take on more community-focused work—projects where a well-considered space can quietly shape the people and places it serves.
