Interior Design Leadership Opportunity

HELT Design Architecture Interiors:  A vision-oriented design firm is seeking a Senior Interior Design Industry Leader to further position our Interiors Studio for success.  A design firm positioned for growth in multiple sectors, this is an exciting opportunity for the right person.

This position will serve as a key member of the Senior Management Team, responsible for supporting the firm in the areas of interiors design business development, client relationships, and quality control. This position is highly visible to clients and internal team members which requires leading with humility, maturity, and integrity. Aside from superior management and technical skills you must have positive leadership skills that uplifts those around you, while being humble and able to learn from others.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Passion for Design and Creating Unique Spaces that Inspire.
    • Lead Interiors Business Development Initiatives
    • Provide Leadership on our Interior Design Projects
    • Provide a creative and nurturing culture through an effective coaching/mentoring program.
  • Evaluate and provide appropriate direction for clients and projects at key milestones.
  • Provide project and interiors related team oversight and management.
  • Build systems with the Senior Management Team that brings continuous improvement to our design and production processes, delivery methods and values.
  • Ability to travel as required to perform project work and deliver expected results.
  • Proposal Development / Contract Negotiation

Experience Requirements:

  • A professional, accredited degree in Interior Design or Architecture with 7-10 years of experience
  • Must have or be working toward NCIDQ certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading multi-discipline project teams.
  • Proficient knowledge of advanced technology (e.g., Revit, Sketch-Up, Lumion)
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role.
  • Broad Range of project type expertise
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of professional services from marketing through project close-out, including design and technical construction document expertise
  • A comprehensive understanding of the coordination aspects and related requirements of design disciplines
  • Knowledge of current industry trends
  • Strong leadership and exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan, manage, and complete diverse tasks on defined schedules.
  • Ability to interact well in various business and social settings with all types of people in a mature and professional manner.
  • Ability to work well with others under deadlines.
